Grandpa Eddie

Edward Knutti, our loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully, Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 in Vernal at age 94.
He was born March 28, 1917 in Montpelier, Idaho to John and Rosina Grosjean Knutti, the fourth of seven children. Eddie married and was sealed to the love of his life Calpurnia Dabel in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple on July 7, 1944. Together they raised five daughters.
Eddie will be remembered as a kind-hearted, gentle man who loved and served others. He especially loved little children and they always loved him.
He started in the grocery business as a teenager in Montpelier, Idaho. From 1941 to 1945 he served in the Army during World War II stationed in the South Pacific. He returned to working for Zions Wholesale Grocery in Pocatello and then moved to Don Elggren Brokerage Co. in Salt Lake.
All his life he was an avid fisherman and made sure his girls knew how to fish and bait a hook.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served faithfully in many callings including Bishop in Pocatello, Idaho 27th Ward and Salt Lake 11th Ward, a counselor in the stake presidency in Rose Park and a Salt Lake Temple worker. He went on a microfilming mission with his wife in 1976-77 in Illinois and Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife, children, daughters, Rhonda (Dick) Buehler, Karen (Mike) Berry, Nola (Dar) Peterson, Ann (Don) Reynolds, Jill (Richard) McDonald, 22 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and sister Alice Morris of Pocatello, Idaho.
Preceded in death by siblings: Frank, George, Kathryn, Millie and Helen; as well as his mother and father.
A heartfelt “thank you” from the family goes out to the staff of Uintah Care Center and Good Shepherd Home Health for their support and loving care.
Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 1 pm in the Vernal LDS 2nd Ward, located at 235 E. 600 South. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Maeser Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
Military honors presented by the American Legion Post #11 and #124 and the Utah National Guard.

It has been a very bittersweet week for my family. I will never forget the very special and sweet experiences that I got to share with my Grandpa.

I love you Grandpa Eddie!

Re-Done

It started with me painting the walls while he was out of town....then he ripped up the old yucky floor and laid new tile (his 1st tile job ever!) I finished by painting just about everything white. And now it feels like a brand new bathroom!!!

November + Us

November 7th + Czar = the big Twenty Five!

We celebrated with cake, ice cream and presents. Happy Birthday to my Sweetie!!!

November 11th + Kami = Surgery :(

The good news....My tonsils are out and will never bother me again! It's been a rough 2 weeks living on pain pills and popsicles, but I am finally feeling better. (Notice how I didn't get a picture of my flowers til they were dead. Oops!) I'm going back to work tomorrow, finally! And I am getting so excited for the Holidays, I love this time of year :)

Our First Anniversary!

For our 1st Anniversary (WOW, where did the time go?) We spent a weekend in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Neither of us have been there, and we had such an awesome time!!

We stayed here one night and played in the hot springs.

We rode a tram up the mountain, where they have Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. We toured the Caverns (which were awesome!) And rode the Alpine Coaster, which I'm pretty sure was Czar's favorite part...

On our way home, we stoped at Rifle Falls. The falls are sooo beautiful, and we picked a perfect time to go. We hiked up and around the waterfalls, and explored in all the little caves. We already talked about going back here next year to camp and play golf :)

And what would the 1st Anniversary be without the top of the wedding cake?!?

I cannot believe it has already been ONE YEAR with this handsome guy...

I Love Him :)
